The New York State Sportswriters Association is not ranking eight-man teams for the 2018 season, but here's the rundown on the leading records thus far:
Section 3 -- Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (4-0), Bishop Grimes (4-0), Weedsport (4-0); South Lewis (3-1).
Section 4 -- Lansing (4-0); Elmira Notre Dame (2-1).
Section 5 -- Oakfield-Alabama/Elba (4-0).
